Irrigation System

An irrigation system is a system used to automatically or manually supply water to landscaped areas such as grass, trees, shrubs, and plants.

It generally consists of:

Water source/tank – supplies irrigation water.
Irrigation pump – provides the required water pressure.
Main & branch pipes – distribute water to different areas.
Control valves / solenoid valves – control water flow to each zone.
Sprinklers – water grass and lawn areas.
Drip irrigation – supplies water directly to plants and shrubs.
Filters – remove dirt and particles from the water.
Irrigation controller – controls watering schedules automatically.

Basic flow:
Water Source → Pump → Filter → Main Pipe → Valves → Sprinklers/Drip Lines → Landscape
